Peter Greene, 60, known for 'Pulp Fiction' and 'The Mask', found dead in NYC apartment
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Peter Greene, 60, best known for his roles in 'The Mask' and 'Pulp Fiction', was found dead on Friday, December 12, in his Lower East Side apartment, authorities said. He was found unresponsive in his Clinton Street home around 3.25 pm and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Greene was best known for playing Dorian Tyrell, the villain opposite Jim Carrey in the 1994 film 'The Mask'. His career also included many tough supporting roles that made him well-known to movie fans.
Gregg Edwards, Greene's manager of more than 10 years, said Greene is survived by a sister and a brother.
No foul play suspected in Peter Greene's death
Greene breathed his last Friday afternoon in his Lower East Side apartment, his manager Gregg Edwards confirmed. The actor was discovered unresponsive inside his NYC home and later pronounced dead at the scene.
According to The New York Post, police reported no foul play was suspected. Authorities said the medical examiner will confirm how he died.
“He was a terrific guy,” Edwards said. He said music had been playing in Greene’s apartment for over 24 hours, which prompted a wellness check. He also spoke with Greene earlier this week, according to NBC News.

Peter Greene was born in Montclair, New Jersey, on October 8, 1965. He carved out a reputation as one of the most memorable character actors. Greene broke into the industry in his 20s while living in New York, according to IMDb.
He became widely known in 1994 for playing the ruthless Zed in Quentin Tarantino’s 'Pulp Fiction' and the villainous Dorian Tyrell in Jim Carrey’s 'The Mask'. "Nobody played a bad guy better than Peter," his longtime manager said. "But he also had, you know, a gentle side that most people never saw, and a heart as big as gold.'
