Plastic surgeon explains why Laura Ingraham isn't able to close her lips fully amid facelift rumors
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Laura Ingraham is an accomplished journalist who has been on the small screen since the 1990s and has put in a lot of effort to become one of Fox News' top anchors.
Some viewers have, however, noted a change in her appearance over time, and many people have expressed their curiosity online regarding Ingraham's seemingly permanent smile.
Given that Ingraham rarely shuts her mouth completely, some have speculated that she might have had plastic surgery on her face, but 'The Ingraham Angle' host has not yet addressed the rumors.
Recently, New York City-based board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr Joel Kopelman weighed in on what might be the issue.
Facial plastic surgeon reveals Laura Ingraham might received a decent facelift
The plastic surgeon was quick to highlight Laura Ingraham's radiant look, stating that "recent photos suggest a smoother, more youthful appearance."
"These changes could indicate a facelift," Dr Kopelman added, but he also pointed out that they could just be signs of less invasive procedures like chemical peels, laser resurfacing, or injectable fillers, as per Nicki Swift.
Although he has not personally treated Ingraham, his observations can undoubtedly contribute to a more accurate depiction of the job she could have accomplished.
Notably, the position of her eyebrows might suggest that Ingraham had a facelift, or at the least, a brow lift. Dr Kopelman explained that the two procedures are usually done together since "lifting the brows and reducing forehead wrinkles [offers] a refreshed look."
However, Ingraham's inability to close her mouth is the real puzzle. On the topic, Dr Kopelman said, "Lip fillers ... if not balanced, might create an unnatural fullness that affects how the lips rest."
He also points out that there could be other causes for her mouth shape.
"It's also worth noting that non-surgical factors, like dental work or age-related changes in muscle tone, could contribute to this appearance," Dr Kopelman said.
He emphasized that "sometimes what seems surgical in nature may simply reflect personal habits or age-related shifts."
Regardless of the surgeries she has had or has not had, Ingraham looks youthful, invigorated, and cheerful for a woman her age.
Laura Ingraham revealed her age-defying beauty secrets
Being a single mother of three children and having a primetime spot on Fox News, Laura Ingraham is frequently asked how she balances everything. "I don't," the 61-year-old replied, in a refreshing declaration.
Although her fans might think she has a secret formula for success because of her youthful appearance, Ingraham admitted in a Daily Mail conversation that there are days when she feels like she's barely making ends meet.
"I don't think I'm any different from any other mother out there who has a job that's fairly demanding and, at the same time, I have the added excitement of being a single parent. At any given point in the day we feel like we're not doing enough," she said.
However, the glitzy cable news personality has developed a regimen over the years that allows her to appear composed while managing stress and staying on top of her demanding schedule.
On an average day, Ingraham gets up at six in the morning, prepares breakfast for her sons Nikolai, 14, and Dmitri, 16, and sends them off to school. Maria, her 19-year-old daughter, is away at college.
Ingraham then switches to a daily exercise regimen, typically attending a circuit training class at Orangetheory, a boutique fitness company with monthly subscriptions starting at $129.
Whether it's throwing a football with her boys or competing in sprints in the yard of their house in northern Virginia, Ingraham stays active when she's not exercising.
She also prioritizes having healthy foods and beverages. "I drink water every chance I get, and then I have zero alcohol during the week," she explained.
