LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jake Gyllenhaal recently posted a selfie featuring himself and Post Malone, sparking speculation about their collaboration.
Shortly after, Prime Video confirmed that the popular singer will indeed join Gyllenhaal in the upcoming film 'Road House.'
Jake praises Post Malone's acting skills
In his post, the ‘Southpaw’ star wrote, “A man of many talents. To say it was a pleasure working together is an understatement. Welcome to the #roadhouse @postmalone!”
The second clip was about Gyllenhaal ducking to Malone, while actor Kenny Lorenzetti joins the cheerful cast, per People. Malone reacted in the comment section with a cheers emoji.
Further, Prime Video revealed a first glimpse at Malone's character Carter in the upcoming film ‘Road House.’ It is a "high-octane, adrenaline-filled reimagining" of the 1989 Patrick Swayze flick.
Malone was notably absent from the first trailer released for the movie in January, which prominently featured MMA fighter Conor McGregor.

Other cast members in 'Road House'
The film's synopsis mentions, "Dalton is barely scraping by on the reputation that still precedes him when he is spotted by Frankie (Jessica Williams), owner of a roadhouse in the Florida Keys. She hires him to be her new bouncer in hopes of stopping a violent gang, working for crime boss Brandt (Billy Magnussen), from destroying her beloved bar.".
"As the brutal brawls and bloodshed escalate, the tropical Keys prove more dangerous than anything Dalton ever faced in the Octagon," it added.
In addition to Jake Gyllenhaal and Post Malone, "Road House" features an ensemble cast including Daniela Melchior, Joaquim de Almeida, Lukas Gage, Arturo Castro, BK Cannon, Beau Knapp, and Darren Barnet.
The upcoming movie is reported to be a "reimagining" of the 1989 film 'Road House,' which originally starred Patrick Swayze, Kelly Lynch, and Sam Elliott in significant roles, according to MEAWW.
Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the original movie proved to be a commercial success, earning over $61 million at the box office with a production budget of just $15 million.
The film is set to be available for streaming on Prime Video starting from March 21st.
