Pregnant Gypsy Rose Blanchard criticized for saying she won’t post any ‘personal content’ on social media

LOUSIANA, UNITED STATES: Pregnant Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who has preferred to keep her life private, recently announced that she will no longer share any personal content on her public account. 

Her decision came on the heels of a heartwarming baby shower celebration where friends and family gathered for a pink-themed event in honor of her upcoming arrival. 

During the celebration, Blanchard also revealed the name of her soon-to-be-born baby girl, which she shares with her boyfriend, Ken Urker.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard provides an update on sharing content online

In an update shared on TikTok on Saturday, November 16, 33-year-old Gypsy Rose Blanchard announced that she will no longer post personal content on her public social media platforms. The announcement came shortly after celebrating her baby shower where she revealed her decision to move towards a more private life.

She declared, "I will no longer be posting personal content on this public platform."

Blanchard explained, "Since I was released, I have shared with supporters my hardships and achievements through the lens of social media. However, I find myself at a crossroads that leads me to desire a more private life sharing with only family and close friends these special moments."

She expressed gratitude to her followers for their continued support and confirmed that she would still be sharing updates about her upcoming memoir 'My Time to Stand' as well as future seasons of her Lifetime docuseries 'Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup'. Blanchard also mentioned that she now maintains private TikTok and Instagram accounts where she will only accept requests from people she personally knows.

"This decision was made with consideration to the well-being of my own mental health that as well as the overall wellbeing of my family and daughter," she added.

Despite the change, Blanchard reassured her fans, saying, "We are all doing very well and are in good spirits, excited for our futures moving forward. Thank you." She also noted that she has deleted personal content from both her TikTok and Instagram pages.

Internet mocks Gypsy Rose Blanchard for her decision to go private

After Gypsy Rose Blanchard announced that she would no longer be posting personal content online, several users quickly took to mocking her decision. 

One user mockingly said, "I hope she keeps that promise ..." A second user claimed, "She should have done that since day one." 

Another said, "We're all very relieved to hear it. Not a moment too soon!" One wrote, "Best news...I'd be grateful if she kept it all personal & NEVER shared again."

Another user on Facebook said, "She’ll be back in 5 min… she can’t stand to be away.”

One more person added, “Thank you 🙏🏽 because we didn’t ask nor care for any updates on you or your unborn y’all gotta stop trying to make people famous for absolutely nothing.” Another questioned, "How will she make any money."
