Princess Charlotte beams with pride as mom Kate Middleton receives standing ovation at Wimbledon

LONDON, ENGLAND: Princess Charlotte might be young, but she was beaming with pride seeing her mother, Princess Kate Middleton getting a standing ovation from the Wimbledon audience. 

On Sunday, July 14,  the mother and daughter duo stepped out at Wimbledon to watch the Men’s Singles final match between Carlos Alcaraz of Spain and Novak Djokovic of Serbia. 

As the Princess of Wales made her appearance at Wimbledon amid her cancer battle, she was welcomed with a loud standing ovation from the ebullient crowd.

Upon reaching the venue, Kate and Charlotte met people associated with the prestigious tennis event before they proceeded to the Royal Box at Centre Court to watch the match. 

When they stepped into the aisle of the front row of the Royal Box, Kate received a warm welcome from the fans. Visibly moved by the outpouring of support from the public, Kate smiled back at the audience and waved. 

The mother and daughter were accompanied by Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton during the event. 

Tang also captured another sweet moment between the mother and daughter as Charlotte came back to her seat after going out for a break with Pippa. 

Tang explained, “[Charlotte] skipped down the stairs and when she got back to her seat — she was laughing. She leaned over and must have told her mom what it was about and they were giggling together and having a good old laugh.”

“You can tell that all three of them were enjoying themselves — Charlotte is following the game like her mother. You can see their excitement,” observed the photographer while noting Charlotte is also developing a love for the game like her mother who is an accomplished athlete herself. 

Kate, who is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, opted for a violet-colored dress by Safiyaa for the outing. Charlotte, on the other hand, wore a blue polka-dotted dress for her second outing to Wimbledon and styled her hair with her signature side braids.

The internet gushed at seeing Kate attend the Wimbledon final. Moreover, as they saw Princess Charlotte accompanying her mother, the fans were left feeling happy at the family's outing.

Someone else chimed in, "It's so good to see her back in public looking well!"
