LOUISIANA, UNITED STATES: Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who recently celebrated her freedom with a selfie after serving seven years in prison, has been in the spotlight due to her role in the 2015 murder of her mother, Clauddine 'Dee Dee' Blanchard.

She served her sentence at the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri and recently made headlines through her first TV sit-down interview on ABC News' 'Good Morning America' after her release.

Now a 32-year-old woman and wife to Ryan Anderson, a middle school special education teacher from Louisiana, she credits her time in prison for her personal growth.

Gypsy Rose reportedly shared that her prison stay experience helped her evolve into the woman she had always aspired to be, per TMZ.

In a conversation with Deborah Roberts, the co-anchor of '20/20' and ABC’s senior national affairs correspondent, Gypsy expressed that her time in prison imparted valuable life lessons to her.

Ryan also accompanied Gypsy for the interview on 'Good Morning America'.

She reportedly conveyed immense pride in the woman she has become, attributing her transformation to her incarceration experience.

As per Gypsy, she experienced growth through a series of trials and errors while in prison, a process she believes is universal, extending even to those beyond prison walls.

Her personal life during her time in prison has largely entered the public domain.

Her presence on social media platforms like Snapchat, her enjoyment of meals from her favorite fast-food chains like McDonald's and Burger King, and her participation in a New Year's Eve celebration have all been topics of online discussion.

This also includes her relationship with her husband, Ryan, whom she wed while incarcerated in 2022. Despite facing backlash, she stood by him unwaveringly, even bragging of their intimate relationship.

"She probably got treated better in prison than she did at home with her mother SAD!" a user commented on Facebook

Another user said, "I'm fine with her being out. Her mother was a monster. Her attempts to turn herself into a celebrity are another thing entirely. Go away and live a quiet life."

"Now is the time to rebuild herself to society," stated another.

A user claimed, "Aww she looks really good! I hope she can go on to live a normal life and forget all the crap she endured as a child. Prison was probably like a resort to her after growing up with that sorry excuse of a mother."

Another user noted, "This woman went through hell and back. I hope she can live her life in peace now."
