LONDON, ENGLAND: Rachel Zegler left audiences stunned during a live performance of 'Evita' at the London Palladium on Thursday, July 24.

Understudy says it's a ‘proud day’ to step in for Rachel Zegler
During the intermission, the production team announced Zegler’s unexpected exit, as witnessed by People present during the show.

The performance continued at the London Palladium, with numerous celebrities in the audience.
Brown, who finished the show in the lead role, shared her thoughts later on Instagram, writing, “Today really showed just how important swings and covers are within this industry."

"They are pillars of a show!! A proud day to be at Evita.” In another post, she added, “What a lucky audience getting to see both myself and MY ANGEL REG ZEG!!”
She also reshared posts praising her performance and hailing her for "saving the day."
