WASHINGTON, DC: Democratic Rep Rashida Tlaib is facing new scrutiny after a report from the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy Action raised concerns about her ties and conduct.

The briefing warns of ethical and national security issues tied to Tlaib’s rhetoric, associations, and campaign activities, alleging she has repeatedly engaged with individuals and organizations linked to US-designated foreign t*******t groups, including Hamas.

A new report from the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy Action raises concerns about Rashida Tlaib’s conduct while in office.

The report states, “The conduct of Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, including her rhetoric, affiliations, campaign infrastructure, and ideological alignment with certain individuals and organizations, raises serious concerns about potential risks to the ethical and institutional integrity of the United States government."

The briefing describes what it calls a “recurring pattern” of behavior that it says shows an ideological alignment with radical movements.

It points to Tlaib’s participation in conferences that included a convicted t*******t and to campaign payments made to activists linked to a Gaza-based militant group and Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine–aligned networks.

The report also reviews Tlaib’s campaign finances and says her campaign paid large sums to anti-Israel activists, including nearly $600,000 between 2020 and 2025 to Unbought Power, a consulting firm led by Rasha Mubarak.

To provide context, Mubarak has drawn attention for her previous connections to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

This body was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2009 Holy Land Foundation terror-financing case, as well as the Alliance for Global Justice (AFGJ), an organization that has been investigated for links to the PFLP-affiliated group Samidoun.

Further in the briefing, it was mentioned that Tlaib has also appeared at events with several controversial figures, including Wisam Rafeedie, a convicted PFLP operative who called the October 7 Hamas attack “resistance.”

The report says, “Through public endorsement, co-sponsorship, and amplification, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has consistently engaged with a range of organizations known to maintain operational or ideological ties to t*******t networks.”

The report alleges that “Tlaib has engaged with and disseminated the messaging of these groups and has shared related content on social media platforms, has participated in events organized by these groups, and has referenced their terminology and conceptual frameworks in official congressional communications.”

Tlaib has also faced accusations of supporting hostile foreign actors before.

The House of Representatives has taken formal action against her twice.

She was first censured in November 2023 for allegedly spreading false narratives about the October 7 Hamas attacks.

A second resolution followed in September 2025 after her appearance at the “People’s Conference for Palestine,” where speakers were said to have “whitewashed” convicted Hamas financiers.

The briefing also points to antisemitic language Tlaib has used on multiple occasions. For example, at an event in August 2021, she referred to “people behind the curtain” making money off “racism” from “Gaza to Detroit.”

'If left unchecked, Tlaib's actions will continue to legitimize hate', report says

The comprehensive briefing also warns about Rashida Tlaib’s record and urges government agencies to take action. It calls for Congress to launch a formal inquiry into Tlaib’s conduct, specifically reviewing her public statements that allegedly align with problematic organizations and her campaign fundraising sources.

The briefing also asks the Department of Justice’s National Security Division to conduct a legal review to determine whether Tlaib or her affiliates have violated 18 US Code §2339B, which bans providing material support to foreign t*******t organizations.

According to the report, the Federal Election Commission should perform a forensic audit of Tlaib’s campaign finances, focusing on donations from individuals linked to such banned networks.

The briefing concludes, “Tlaib’s conduct demonstrates how extremist ideologies can infiltrate mainstream democratic institutions. If left unchecked, her actions will continue to legitimize hate."
