LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ray J recently admitted that he was involved in an altercation with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ sons during a Halloween party last weekend.
The 43-year-old singer recently appeared in a sit-down with Nicki Minaj - which was streamed on Instagram Live - where he shared his side of the story and claimed he got into a "big argument right outside the club" with Diddy’s sons.
Ray J, whose given name is William Ray Norwood Jr, shared during the candid chat that he “got loud and aggressive” during his dispute with Quincy, Christian and Justin Combs outside a Halloween party in Los Angeles. He further revealed that most of what he had done was in an attempt to stand up for himself.

Ray J admits he was involved in a 'big argument' with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs' sons
During the interview with Nicki Minaj, which was later shared online by The Shade Room, the ‘One Wish’ singer shared that he got involved in the fight because of comments he made about their father’s ongoing legal issues, per OK! Magazine.
After Minaj asked the singer who “started” the fight, Ray J revealed, "This time, I think I got loud and aggressive."
"But it was the third time this happened," he added as an explanation.
Ray J said, "So I felt like I needed to stand up for myself, even though [they] was talking s**t and we was having crazy words. I was walking that way to avoid the issue, and so that’s what happened."
The R&B singer added that during the altercation, he had “nobody” with him, and at one point, Diddy’s sons “tried to rush” him. He added that fortunately, fellow singer Chris Brown noticed what was happening and interrupted the argument.
He recalled, "I moved away from it," before adding, "I tried to talk some sense into what happened. Luckily, the homie Chris was there."
Ray J’s coming to blows with Diddy’s sons happened more than a month after he confessed to NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo on ‘CUOMO’ that he had never seen anything illegal happening in Diddy’s infamous parties when he had attended a few soirees, per TMZ.
“We’ve never seen the stuff that’s being said and the stuff that people are finding out,” said the ‘Wait A Minute’ singer about Diddy’s charges, before adding, “I’ve never been in rooms that people are talking about and I never knew they existed.”
He also added that he respected the ‘Coming Home’ singer back in the day when he was trying to make it big in the industry.
The Bad Boy Records founder was arrested on September 16 following two federal raids in his Los Angeles and Miami homes earlier this year.
The day after his arrest, the disgraced rapper was slapped with racketeering and s** trafficking charges.
Charlamagne Tha God warns Diddy’s sons after Ray J altercation
The dispute between Ray J and Diddy’s sons generated considerable buzz in the tinsel town with Charlemagne Tha God advising Diddy’s sons regarding the prudence of involving in such fights.
During an October 30 segment on 'The Breakfast Club', he and co-host DJ Envy discussed the clash when he delivered some well-meant advice.

In the clip shared by The Shade Room, DJ Envy noted that Diddy's sons likely consider Ray J a trusted family friend, and thus they probably didn’t like him discussing Diddy’s affairs publicly.
Charlamagne, however, noted, “Diddy’s kids need to sit their a***s down somewhere, okay? Don’t get spanked trying to prove a point that you don’t have to prove. You gon’ end up in jail with your pops or someplace worse.”
He further shared a piece of advice directed to Quincy, Christian, and Justin, urging them to think twice before taking action.
He said, “Whatever y’all are on get off it,” before adding, “I know you’re frustrated because of what Diddy’s going through, but stop projecting before you get hurt.”
