Arnold Schwarzenegger jokes about becoming a little bit more machine

Schwarzenegger first disclosed his surgery in the Monday, March 25 episode of his podcast, 'Arnold’s Pump Club.' 'The Terminator' star quipped that the operation made him slightly "more like a machine."

Arnold Schwarzenegger's most recent surgery was the implantation of a pacemaker, a procedure necessitated by a congenital heart defect known as a bicuspid aortic valve, which he has had since birth.

In 1997, he underwent a pulmonic valve replacement to improve the blood flow from his heart to his lungs, and in 2018, he had open heart surgery to replace the same valve.

In 2020, he underwent surgery to replace his aortic valve, which facilitates the flow of blood from the heart to the rest of the body. He mentioned that the latest surgery was essential because scar tissue from the previous operation had caused an irregular heartbeat.

Though Schwarzenegger is recovering well, he says he will require regular checkups and won’t be doing “serious training in the gym for a while.” He added that after his surgery, he was back out doing events.
