LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Terry Dubrow opened up about his Ozempic experience and shared the reason he didn’t want to take it anymore.

On Friday, January 19, the 'RHORC' star told PageSix that he tried a ‘miracle’ weight loss drug, but had to give up after ‘some side effects.’

“[Ozempic] really took all the joy of eating away,” Dubrow revealed. The famous plastic surgeon on introspection realized it wasn’t worth it since he only wanted to lose only a little weight.

“I've tried it. I thought it was amazing. I didn't have that much weight to lose," he added.

“But I wanted to try it because so many of my patients were on it and I wanted to see what it was like when you're not diabetic and you only have 10 to 15 pounds to lose," he continued.

Terry Dubrow said Ozempic  caused ‘low-grade nausea'

Dubrow spoke more on ‘side effects’ and shared that though Ozempic was effective, it also caused ‘low-grade nausea’ and disinterest in food.

"You know what, I kind of want to get my appetite back. The holidays are coming. I want to enjoy myself,"' the 65-year-old continued.

The other factor that comes with Ozempic consumption is alcohol prohibition. “You can't drink on it. You've got to be really careful with alcohol because people are being put in the hospital with pancreatitis,” Dubrow explained.

Terry Dubrow addressed common questions about Ozempic

Sharing that he gets one common question from people who have had plastic surgery and want to go for Ozempic. “Your skin does not accommodate, so it hangs,” he said. One will get 'Ozempic body and face' as he put it.

“Then you lose muscle, you're not taking enough protein and then they've got a lot of hanging skin,” he said.

He advised them to increase their protein intake and do exercise. Dubrow was promoting the upcoming season 8 of 'Botched' show with Paul Nassif.

“When you’re on a TV show for a decade where all you’re doing is difficult cases, that becomes your whole practice in real life,” Terry said about the new season.

“We have a skill set now that allows us to fix these incredibly difficult cases,” he enthused, adding. “What was formerly hard is now easy, and what was formerly impossible is actually mostly possible now.”
