Source reveals why Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes sat apart at Chiefs game amid Trump support
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes reportedly opted to sit separately during the Chiefs vs Ravens game to have distinct viewing experiences.
The singer and Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, had previously sat together at several games last season and also spent time together in Amsterdam earlier this year while Swift was touring.
In recent weeks, Mahomes has openly expressed her support for Donald Trump in the forthcoming presidential election, a stance that appears to conflict with Swift's views.
Is there any tension between Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes?
Their noticeable separation during the Chiefs vs Ravens game at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, September 5, fueled rumors of a rift, yet reports from The Sun indicate there is no bad blood between them.
"They are very good friends and they were so excited to go to the game, but they had different plans as it happens sometimes," a source was quoted as stating.

It further added, "Brittany is a family woman, and Taylor likes to enjoy the game sometimes like it’s a party. They felt like they were in a different vibe for the first game of the season. They did hang out for a bit before and after the game while waiting for Patrick and Travis."
A source close to Swift and Mahomes reported to The US Sun that there is "no tension" between the two.
"There are absolutely zero tensions between them, they love and respect each other a lot, they were just wanting a different kind of vibe for the first game of the season at home," it went on stating.
Taylor Swift’s denim outfit sparks speculations of rift with Brittany Mahomes
Claims have surfaced that Taylor Swift has distanced herself from Brittany Mahomes due to the latter's public endorsement of Donald Trump in the forthcoming US presidential election. Swift, who has historically endorsed Democratic candidates, is reportedly poised to declare her support for Kamala Harris, according to The Sun.
Fans speculated that Taylor Swift's choice of attire was a symbolic gesture following Mahomes' endorsement of Trump. The Chiefs typically don red, a hue synonymous with the Republican Party.
Swift, however, chose a two-piece denim ensemble in blue, a shade traditionally linked to the Democrats.
While Brittany's husband Patrick did not endorse any candidate in the last election, he was actively involved in the 'More Than A Vote' campaign, which is committed to protecting African-American voting rights.
The divergent political stances of Brittany and Patrick could be accentuated by Brittany's association with pop icon Taylor Swift. Swift, recognized for her endorsement of President Joe Biden, remains uncommitted to any candidate in the forthcoming election, though rumors suggest she might back the Democratic contender.
