WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden's cognitive issues have been a topic of concern for years, but Republican Rep Burgess Owens recently claimed the liberal media has been misleading Americans about his condition.

During an interview with Newsmax on Friday, July 5, the Utah Republican did not hold back his criticism, as per Newsmax.

"What's interesting for those of us who have been watching this for the last two or three years, we're not surprised," Owens said on Newsmax's 'Wake Up America'.

He emphasized that with the growing scrutiny over Biden's mental state, it's time for Democrats to reflect on being "lied to."

According to Owens, the American public is now witnessing what the Black community endured for decades - deception by those in power.

"The Black community has seen this for decades, and now the American people see what it is," he stated. Owens accused the Democratic Party of prioritizing power over the country’s welfare, causing panic among their ranks.

"The panic over Biden will be a very disruptive process," Owens predicted. He argued that the American public is waking up to the idea that the Democratic Party has never truly represented their interests.

"Thanks to Biden, the American people realize that the Democratic Party has never, ever been for the American people. They're now talking about changing one elitist with another one, but the party doesn't change," Owens claimed.

Owens described Biden's cognitive struggles as "cringe-worthy" and "embarrassing," likening it to the painful experience of watching a loved one suffer from dementia.

"Anyone who's had an elder or a parent who's gotten older, going through dementia, we want to protect them. We have hard times ahead of us, but again, this is a family that does not care about our country," Owens remarked, emphasizing that Biden’s family lack genuine concern for the country.

Owens also expressed confidence in a political shift once the Democrats are ousted.

"When the Democrats lose, and we come into power with President [Donald] Trump and the House and the Senate and we turn this country around, the Democratic Party will never have the power they have, at least for another few generations," he asserted.
