WASHINGTON, DC: On Wednesday, July 3, in a gripping interview on Fox News' 'The Ingraham Angle' with Kayleigh McEnany, Rep Jim Banks stirred political waters by advocating for a House select committee to investigate President Joe Biden’s health, as per Breitbart.

The Republican lawmaker and Afghanistan veteran linked Biden’s health to the decision-making process behind the controversial Afghanistan withdrawal, a topic that continues to evoke strong emotions across the nation.

Banks, reflecting on his military service and the chaos of the withdrawal, didn’t hold back in his critique. "Yes, Kayleigh, I’m all for it," Banks declared when asked "should there be a select committee on Biden’s mental health."

He pointed to Biden’s recent debate claim that no soldier had died under his watch, a statement Banks strongly contested.

"That was a complete and utter lie...either he forgot the 13 heroes who died because of the foolish decisions of — by himself and his administration or he — or he — either he forgot that or he’s trying to cover it up and lie to the American people once again," he stated.

The conversation didn’t stop at critiquing the Afghanistan withdrawal. Banks expressed broader concerns about Biden's capability to lead, citing what he sees as a lack of accountability and transparency.

"So, I’m for a select committee. I’m for any effort by Congress to hold this administration, this President, and the media accountable for the biggest cover-up in American history. They all know this man is senile. He’s unfit to be the president," he expressed.

"I want to know who’s been making decisions over the last three and a half years that has led to the suffering of the American people and that has emboldened our biggest enemies around the globe," Banks continued.

He further emphasized the need to subpoena aides if they don’t cooperate willingly.

"Force them to come before Congress and tell them, tell us who made the decision to abruptly pull out of Afghanistan, pull the rug out — out from — out from underneath the government in Afghanistan, but also our own troops, leaving 13 of our troops dead in Afghanistan because of the decision making that we still don’t have it," Banks remarked.

Banks’ comments come on the heels of a private meeting where Biden reassured over 20 Democratic governors about his health.

According to Politico, Biden underwent a medical checkup after the recent debate, asserting his good health. Despite this, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre's evasive responses to press inquiries about Biden's health have only fueled further speculation and scrutiny.
