Michael Madsen arrested for domestic violence

Per Daily Mail, Michael Madsen was arrested shortly after midnight on Saturday, August 17, after he was accused of a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

The outlet reported that when the police were called, the situation was chaotic. When the authorities came, they found DeAnna Madsen already “safe with a security team".

Nevertheless, the police took the actor into custody after speaking to him and his wife. Madsen was released later after he posted a bond of $20,000.

A representative for the actor revealed to TMZ, “It was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope resolves positively for them both.”

The couple tied the knot in 1996 and welcomed three children together - Hudson, Luke, and Calvin.

Unfortunately, their son Hudson died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 2022. US Army Sgt and Afghan war vet Hudson’s death came just a week after his wife Carlie underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her breast.

This incident is not the first instance of Madsen’s brush with law.

Previously in 2022 - just a month after his son’s death, the actor was arrested for trespassing at a Los Angeles property from where he was evicted.

During the incident, he was given a $500 citation for a misdemeanor and released soon after.

Madsen has acted in films like 'Reservoir Dogs', 'Kill Bill Vol 1' and 'Kill Bill Vol 2', among others.

Fans hope Michael Madsen can bounce back

Fans were concerned with the Madsens' family situation as they hoped things improve.

One of the readers commented online, "It’s a very sad family situation given that his son just committed suicide a short time ago and quite honestly, this very talented actor is a ne’er do well in his career. I wish them well and hope they stay safe and find a way to communicate and or separate."

Someone else said, "Need to pull it together via counseling, rehab or whatever before it's too late."

"A very young Michael was the soldier in the begining of the movie War Games trying to get the other guy to turn his key and launch the lCBMs. Alcohol has not been his friend," said someone else.

Another fan added, "Based on his movie roles, I believe the applicable term is life imitating art."

"Oh my! Get your life together and keep your hands to yourself," said someone else.

Another social media user mourned, "I feel like a jerk commenting before I read what happened to their son recently. This type of tragedy has to be hard on the parents relationship. I wish them luck because celebrities are human also."

"He is a great actor with weaknesses. I hope he can get together," said someone else.

Meanwhile, another user criticized, "This guy played himself in his role. obviously likes jail."
