WASHINGTON, DC: Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr offered a glimpse into his working relationship with President Donald Trump, revealing that the president regularly calls him, sometimes multiple times a week, to check on his progress.

Kennedy disclosed that Trump had phoned him just the night before, during a press conference held on Monday, August 4, alongside state governors and Cabinet officials to address food stamp policy.

Far from unusual, Kennedy said these frequent calls are part of Trump’s intense push to ensure the “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) agenda stays on track.

During the press conference, RFK Jr revealed that Donald Trump calls him several times a week to check on his progress. Responding to a question, Kennedy said, “He wants this done. He want, he promised to make American health again, and he’s gonna do that."

He added, "He called me last night. He calls me three or four times a week and says, ‘Where are you? Why aren’t people healthier yet?’ So he’s keeping me under pressure.”

Recently, Trump signed a bill reinstating the Presidential Fitness Test, holding the ceremony in a White House room right next to the desk where he famously installed a ‘Diet Coke button.’ Both Trump and Kennedy praised a proposal to ban the purchase of soda with SNAP benefits.

Kennedy has been particularly outspoken, urging the government to stop allowing the nearly $113 billion program, serving around 42 million Americans, to be used to buy soda or processed foods.

Speaking on Fox News in February, Kennedy told host Laura Ingraham, “The one place that I would say that we need to really change policy is the SNAP program and food stamps and in school lunches. There, the federal government in many cases is paying for it. And we shouldn’t be subsidizing people to eat poison."

RFK Jr mocked online after revealing Donald Trump’s night call

A video of RFK Jr discussing a recent late-night phone call from Donald Trump, where the president reportedly checked in on the progress of his health agenda, has gone viral, sparking a wave of online reactions.

One user quipped, “Why aren’t people healthier yet? — Bro, did you check the price of fruit lately?”

Another added sarcastically, “Does Trump do this right after he has eaten two Big Macs and downed four Diet Cokes, or right before...?”

Mockery poured in, with one person commenting, “What a clown show, lol. What kind of call is that even? Maybe if you guys focused on bringing prices down for healthy foods instead of making up BS to distract from Epstein, people would be a little healthier.”

Another user shared a personal note: “Why aren’t ppl healthier? Cuz they’re just tryna survive. I was starving today and had chips for lunch bcuz I couldn’t afford food. So buying a bag of chips from Wawa was cheaper.”

Others took direct jabs at Trump himself. “The question he should be asking is... why isn’t he healthier yet??” one person mocked.

Another X user tweeted, “I love this for RFK Jr. Someone crazier than him is his boss. 😂 Fabulous.”

One more critic added, “He thinks it’s funny—unhealthy Americas. He can’t even speak with a healthy voice.”
