'RHOM' star Alexia Nepola's husband Todd Nepola files for divorce, states marriage is 'irretrievably broken'

MIAMI, FLORIDA: Alexia Nepola's husband Todd Nepola has filed for divorce from her, ending two years of their marriage.

In the court papers filed on April 11, Todd claimed their marriage is "irretrievably broken," according to Page Six.

In his divorce filing, Todd revealed they had signed a prenuptial agreement on December 10, 2021. The contract was signed six days before they married.

The details of the agreement have not been included in the court papers filed on April 11.

The 'Real Housewives of Miami' star who tied the knot with the real estate executive in St Barts is yet to respond to the divorce filing.

Speaking to the US Weekly at the time of her marriage announcement, Alexia said the intimate ceremony was "perfect for us!"

"Truly everything we wanted. Just him and I," she said at the time, adding, "Our favorite moment of the ceremony was when a big sea turtle came up to [us] above the water."

"I knew there was a symbolic and spiritual meaning and the universe trying to tell me something," she shared.

Alexia and Todd met in 2017 and two years later, the pair got engaged in 2019.

They tied the knot on December 16, 2021. At the time, the 'Bravo' star took to Instagram to announce her marriage as she posted her wedding picture.

"This year has been a whirlwind, to say the least, but finishing it off as Mr. & Mrs. gives me hope for the years to come. Thank you all for your kind wishes and love. 12.16.21," she wrote.

Alexia was married to Pedro Rosello from 1992 to 1996 with whom she shares sons Peter, 31, and Frankie, 27.

The mother of two has faced personal challenges as she provides care for Frankie, who suffered permanent brain damage from a car accident in 2011.

She has been a vocal advocate for individuals with brain injuries since then. 

When she tied the knot with her next husband, Hermann Echevarria, in 2004, the television personality became famous as Alexia Echevarria.

She and Hermann were separated when he met an unexpected death in 2016.

Meanwhile, Todd's relationship with his stepson Peter has been complicated.

In January 2022, Alexia told BravoTV.com that tensions between Peter and Todd have been "going on for a few years."

"The viewers are going to see Todd's side of the argument, and they're also going to see Peter's side of the argument. And the truth is, you can never judge," Alexia stated.

"You have to be at the moment and really know the whole story in order to form an opinion," she said at the time.
