Rihanna on her delayed album release

While Rihanna hasn’t released album in nearly nine years. Her last album was 2016’s 'Anti' as per Billboard.

However, she did drop two songs, 'Lift Me Up' and 'Born Again', for the 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' soundtrack in 2022.

In April, Rihanna told Interview magazine she had "a lot of visual ideas" for her next project but not enough songs.

"Maybe the visual ideas are leading me to the songs that I need to make," Rihanna said at the time.

Two months later, she updated Entertainment Tonight about her progress, saying, "I’m starting over."
