OSAKA, JAPAN: Rita Ora is mourning the heartbreaking loss of her collaborator, Liam Payne.

The singer broke down in tears during a live show in Osaka, Japan, after hearing the devastating news of Payne's death.

Ora and Payne had previously worked together on the duet 'For You' for the 'Fifty Shades Freed' soundtrack.

Following the concert, Rita Ora took to social media to share her sadness over Liam Payne’s death.

"I’m devastated," Ora wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

"He had the kindest soul, I will never forget. I loved working with him so much – he was just such a joy to be around on and off stage. This tragic news breaks my heart," she added.

"Sending all my love and prayers to his family and loved ones. Our song 'For You' takes on a whole new meaning for me now. R.I.P," Ora wrote.

Liam Payne died from 'multiple trauma', reveals autopsy

Liam Payne died after a tragic accident in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he fell from a hotel’s third-floor balcony.

A preliminary autopsy conducted by the local Public Prosecutor’s Office revealed that Payne died from "multiple trauma" and "internal and external hemorrhage" caused by the fall.

Liam had 25 injuries — including the skull, abdomen, and limbs. A toxicology report is still pending, Forbes reports.

Although the musician was alone at the time, the incident is still being investigated as a “doubtful death,” following standard protocol, reports stated.
