Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner’s final dinner at Brentwood restaurant
According to Tancredi DeLuca, the owner of Brentwood eatery Amici, Rob and Michele dined with Shriver at the restaurant two days before their deaths. Speaking to the Daily Mail in an interview published Saturday, DeLuca described the couple as warm, gracious regulars.
“They were very good people, always very approachable and so very kind to the entire staff,” DeLuca said. “We are all in complete shock. We are all saddened about what happened. They are very good people, very down to earth and always treated everyone here very well.”
Staff members recalled that the trio ordered the restaurant’s winter special, Sogliola Alla Mugnaia, imported Dover sole served with a lemon-caper sauce, broccolini and roasted potatoes, along with pasta. The dinner, by all accounts, was unremarkable in the best sense: relaxed, familiar, and peaceful.
Representatives for Rob Reiner did not respond to requests for comment, and a spokesperson for Maria Shriver also declined to comment.

Tensions at Conan O’Brien’s party before Rob Reiner’s death
The couple was reportedly last seen alive on December 13 at Conan O'Brien’s holiday party. Multiple outlets later reported that the evening turned tense following an alleged confrontation between Rob Reiner and his son, Nick Reiner.
Sources told The New York Post that Nick, who has publicly struggled with drug addiction, behaved erratically at the gathering, disturbing several A-list guests, including comedian Bill Hader.
“They got in an argument, the father and son,” one insider told the Daily Mail. “It got so bad and loud [that] someone wanted to call the police to report it.”
According to the source, O’Brien intervened, saying, “‘It’s my house, my party, I’m not calling the police,’” and managed to calm the situation.
It was later reported that Rob confided to friends at the party that he was “petrified” his son could “hurt” him following the altercation.
