Rod Stewart’s ex-wife Alana reveals she’s dating Ed Henry as sources claim 'they complement each other'

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Alana Stewart, 79, has proven that love knows no age.

The actress and philanthropist, who was once married to rock legend Rod Stewart, has found romance with Ed Henry, 53, executive editor of Newsmax2 and host of 'The Briefing'.

Alana Stewart and Ed Henry’s relationship blossomed after a serendipitous meeting in Palm Beach earlier this year.

“I’ve known Ed for years, but only as friends, and we started dating earlier this year,” Alana shared in an exclusive interview with US Weekly.

“I came to Palm Beach with my daughter, and we ran into each other. He asked me to dinner, and we really got along well.”

Although Alana and Ed had been acquaintances for years, their romantic connection didn’t develop until after Ed finalized his divorce from NPR journalist Shirley Hung. The pair, who were married in 2010, share two children.

An insider close to the couple revealed that their chemistry is undeniable. The source adds that Ed is “so in awe” of Alana.

“They’re so cute together and have so much fun,” the source said. “They complement each other really well and run in the same social circles.”

"They spent a lot of time in Palm Beach where Ed lives and works. They have a lot of mutual friends in Palm Beach, Florida so they are always at dinners and events together.”

Ed, who resides in Palm Beach, has been captivated by Alana’s charm and grace. “He thinks she is so gorgeous, sexy, and smart — the full package,” the insider added.

“He took her as his date to the Newsmax, his company’s, party at Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach. They were dancing and mingling with everyone, and looked so happy.”

Alana, who was previously married to actor George Hamilton and later Rod Stewart (divorced in 1984), has maintained close ties with both of her ex-husbands.

She shares son Ashley, 50, with George and daughter Kimberly, 45, and son Sean, 43, with Rod.

Despite the end of her marriages, Alana has always prioritized friendship and mutual respect.

“The most important thing when you have a divorce is to stay friends,” she said in 2022.

“You just have to remember what you loved about the person and remember the positives, not the negatives, and you have to move forward. The most important thing in life is friendship, love, and caring about other people,” she added.
