Inside the killings of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman

On June 12, 1994, Nicole and Ron were brutally stabbed to death outside her Los Angeles home in the Brentwood neighborhood.

Ron, who had been working at an Italian restaurant where Nicole dined that evening, had gone to her residence to return a pair of glasses she had left behind.

At the murder scene, a single bloodied black glove was found.

Investigators reached out to Simpson to inform him about his ex-wife Nicole's murder.

However, they found blood splatters on a white Ford Bronco parked in the driveway of the former footballer's house.

A second black glove was also discovered on the property and it was later linked to the glove found at the crime scene.

The victims' families filed a civil lawsuit against 'The Naked Gun' actor in 1997 after he was found liable for their killings.

The filings resulted in a $33.5 million judgment. However, the families received only a fraction of the awarded amount, reported The Sun.

Simpson's murder trial and subsequent acquittal which was dubbed the "Trial of the Century" gained national attention.

The running back became famous after the murder trial was widely televised and the case exposed America's racial divides.

According to ABC News, an attorney of the Goldman family stated that Simpson "died without penance."
