Royce White faces backlash for falsely claiming Taylor Swift endorsed Biden for 2024 election
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent blunder, Royce White, the MAGA candidate challenging Sen Amy Klobuchar for the US Senate seat in Minnesota, shared a fake endorsement of President Joe Biden by pop star Taylor Swift on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
On Monday, White posted an image showing Swift alongside the Biden-Harris 2024 campaign logo, with the quote: “Under their leadership, I believe America has a chance to start the healing process it so desperately needs.”
Royce White’s skepticism over fake endorsement misinterprets Swift’s 2020 quote
Royce White’s post included the comment, “Are people really that gullible? Wow! The healing process of sex transitions? #Godspeed,” implying skepticism about the legitimacy of the endorsement.
However, while the quote from Swift is indeed genuine and was made during a V Magazine interview in 2020, Swift has not endorsed Biden for the 2024 election cycle.

The misleading image was originally created by First Coast News, an NBC affiliate station based in Jacksonville, Florida, in October 2020, following Swift’s interview with V Magazine.
The Biden-Harris 2024 campaign banner was later edited onto the image to create the deceptive impression of a current endorsement.

Royce White’s history of misleading claims and financial mismanagement
According to the Daily Beast, this incident is just one example of Royce White’s controversial and misleading public statements. White, a former NBA player turned political candidate, has a history of promoting dubious and unfounded claims.
Previously, he shared an image of water fountains in Minneapolis, falsely portraying them as a map of rampant crime in the city.
He has also made bizarre claims, such as writing “Alex Jones Was Right” in Sharpie on his forehead, and has espoused theories alleging that “Jewish elites” control the Federal Reserve.
In addition to these questionable assertions, White’s campaign has been marked by financial issues.
According to The Daily Beast, White faces a $100,000 child support debt, and his previous campaign was accused of misusing funds, including a $5,500 expenditure at the Gold Rush Cabaret strip club in Miami and spending on luxury car rentals.
