‘This is disgusting!’ Rudy Giuliani faces backlash for using sexual slur against Fani Willis at Christian event

STERLING HEIGHTS, MICHIGAN: Rudy Giuliani has been slammed online after he reportedly used derogatory words for Fani Willis at the far-right ReAwaken America Tour at Grace Christian Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

The 80-year-old politician is one of the 18 defendants in Willis' case against Donald Trump for trying to overturn the 2020 Georgia election results.

However, the case has faced obstruction after her alleged affair with special prosecutor Nathan Wade came to light, attracting widespread criticism.

Rudy Giuliani uses derogatory words for Fani Willis

On Friday, June 7, Giuliani attacking Willis saying, as reported by the Daily Mail, “I've got two prosecutors – Fani The Ho.”

"Ho" is a slang word for w***e.

He did not stop there as he continued to call her “Fani Willis” with a long “a” before noting, “Now, F-A-N-I is now Fani. And I'm not calling her Fani.”

Focusing on the phonetic pronunciation of her name, the 107th mayor of New York City then reportedly asserted, “I could drop the 'ho' part if she just quit and go away. But to me, if you spell your name F-A-N-I, your 'FAN-E', you're not 'FAWN-E’.”

Donna Edwards slams Rudy Giuliani

The crowd attending the event reportedly seemed to enjoy Giuliani’s dig at Willis but former Congresswoman Donna Edwards blasted him.

Edwards reportedly shared on MSNBC that the embattled lawyer’s insult is part of “the constant dehumanizing of Black women and I think Black women see that, I think all women see that for what it is.”

“It's really disgusting,” she stated.

A clip of Giuliani's comment about Willis was posted on X, formerly Twitter, by Stephanie Mencimer, a journalist. Mencimer captioned the video: "Watch 'America's Mayor' Rudy Giuliani call Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis a 'ho,' and the Christian audience at the ReAwaken America tour go wild for it last night."



 

Mother Jones DC Bureau Chief David Corn reposted the video with the caption, "So Rudy Giuliani called Fani Willis a “ho” at a right-wing Christian shindig. He seemed quite pleased with himself for this twofer of racism and misogyny."



 

Internet reacts to Rudy Giuliani's use of derogatory words for Fani Willis

Many people online slammed Giucommented below it with one saying, “Fani should sue him for defamation.”

One person tweeted, “The disgusting laughter by the phony Christians in attendance makes me sick. No wonder church membership is plummeting."

“Rudy and this crowd are not exhibiting any of the Christian values I am familiar with. It is shameful. I can’t imagine coming to a Christian function to be inspired and motivated to have this speech cheered on by fellow participants. So very disheartening,” a tweet read.

Another user remarked, "As an attorney, an officer of the court, this kind of language is repugnant, about another member of the bar, @RudyGiuliani, Attorney Giuliani, especially where you were a Mayor and an officer in the federal legal system. Is this the kind of language you want in our national discourse? This hate speech is far below locker room talk."
