The offseason started on an even more heartbreaking note for Wilson and his wife, Ciara, as they mourned the loss of their beloved dog, Prince.

The 12-year-old Great Dane, who had been with Russell Wilson since his rookie NFL season, died after a long and cherished life. Prince had overcome cancer twice, making his journey all the more remarkable.
Wilson took to Instagram to share the sad news with fans, posting a series of photos of Prince over the years.
In his heartfelt tribute, he wrote, "Prince, 12 years ago you came into my life. I got you my rookie year & you have been a blessing to our family with so many memories, hugs, and kisses from our 4 kids and us."

The Great Dane had been a part of their family long before Wilson and Ciara started dating in 2015, according to Hello!
The couple married in 2016 and are parents to Amora, 13 months, Sienna, seven, and Win, four, as well as Future, 10, from Ciara’s previous relationship.
