LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Amid the surge of leaks from the sets of 'Deadpool 3', director Shawn Levy's highly anticipated film, Ryan Reynolds has decided to play along with the trend.

In response to the numerous leaked images circulating online, Reynolds opted for a playful approach, sharing several intentionally photoshopped images from the movie's sets on his Instagram and X accounts.

Ryan Reynolds adds humor to 'Deadpool 3' set leaks

In a tongue-in-cheek statement, Reynolds acknowledged Deadpool's origin being associated with a leak and encouraged fans to not excessively use phrases like "Deadpool Leaks" to avoid disrupting search results.

In his post before sharing a number of photoshopped images from the sets, Reynolds wrote, “Deadpool began with a leak. So I’m joining in. But PLEASE don’t overuse the phrase, ‘Deadpool Leaks’ because it might screw up search results if anyone is looking for Deadpool leaks or Deadpool spoilers or perhaps, Deadpool Scoops. #DeadpoolLeaks #DeadpoolSpoiler #DeadpoolScoop”.

The actor's humorous response is seen by some as a clever tactic to divert attention from genuine leaks and maintain a light-hearted atmosphere surrounding the movie's production.

'Deadpool 3', set to bring back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, experienced delays due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. With the resolution of the strike, filming resumed in late November. However, concealing the sets from the public remains a challenge due to the use of real locations in the production.

Fans responded positively to Reynolds' playful response, with one commenting, "Your manners are impeccable. Tammy will be proud," and another expressing, "Now THIS is the way to counter leaks."

Ryan Reynolds urges fans to avoid spoiling 'Deadpool 3'

In a recent Instagram story, 'Deadpool 3' star Ryan Reynolds appealed to fans to refrain from circulating leaked images from the movie's sets, emphasizing the importance of preserving surprises for the theatrical experience.

Reynolds stressed the significance of surprises as part of the magic of theatrical movies and expressed the filmmakers' intention to shoot the new Deadpool film in real, natural environments using practical effects.

The actor pointed out that the use of telephoto lenses and the dissemination of leaked images create challenges and spoil surprises, urging fans to be mindful of the impact on the overall movie experience.

He wrote, “Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies – It is important for us to shoot the new Deadpool film in real, natural environments, using practical effects as opposed to making the movie indoors and digitally,” adding, “Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone.”

'Deadpool 3', which faced delays due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, is now scheduled for release in the United States on July 26, 2024.
