Ryan Seacrest's ex Shana Wall injured after drinking beverage with plastic shards on American Airlines

QUEENS, NEW YORK: Ryan Seacrest's ex-girlfriend Shana Wall was seriously injured when she swallowed shards of plastic that were in a beverage served to her on the American Airlines flight to Rome.

Wall was put to bed and unable to work after the incident. She also required ongoing medical care as a result of the internal damage, she claimed in the Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit filed as per the New York Post.

The former contestant of 'The Amazing Race' sustained injuries to her throat, esophagus, vocal cords, and digestive system on May 1, after drinking the spiked beverage.

She mentioned in her lawsuit, "[American Airlines] had a duty to provide beverages and food that was uncontaminated and fit for consumption" adding, "created the dangerous, defective and unsafe condition on the airplane."

The document also read, "She was caused to be sick, sore, lame and disabled; was confined to home and bed; was caused to sustain a loss of enjoyment of life; she became incapacitated from the duties of her occupation, sustaining wage and economic loss; has incurred, and will in the future continue to incur, expenses for the treatment of her injuries; she became obligated to expend monies for physicians’ services and other medical care and treatment."

The reality TV star dated TV host and producer Seacrest from 2003 to 2005, as per reports. Before her current profession as a sommelier, Wall made appearances on TV shows like 'Married… with Children' and 'Entourage', according to IMDB.

In June 2024, a passenger traveling on an Air India flight to San Francisco reportedly found a blade-like piece of metal inside a sweet potato while eating a meal on the plane.

Ryan Seacrest and Shana Wall were spotted hanging out with each other again in March 2016, a decade after their breakup in 2005. Seacrest strolled arm-in-arm with his ex-girlfriend through the streets of New York City, as per Daily Mail.

The pair seemed quite comfortable together as they walked Wall's tiny pooch. Seacrest tried to remain low-key underneath a navy blue NYPD baseball cap and dark aviator sunglasses.

During their relationship of two years when Seacrest dated the model and actress, they also attended the 2005 Primetime Emmy Awards.
