Sabrina Carpenter is in awe of Taylor Swift's spontaneous showmanship

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Carpenter reflected on Swift's concert saying, "It almost feels like a Broadway show because everything is so synchronized but at the same time feels so in the moment."

"That’s an art. It’s really hard to teach. It’s really hard to learn," she added.

"After a show, I think a lot about what I want to do differently the next time and what I want to do with my own show in two years," she explained.

Sabrina Carpenter says she feels 'creative' and 'excited' after visiting places on the Eras tour

For Carpenter, the Eras Tour was also an opportunity for personal growth as a performer. The singer shared that she enjoyed visiting different places on the tour and being able to perform for the past few months taught Carpenter that she has to work on "getting everything to quiet down."

Calling the opportunity an inspiring one, Carpenter said, "I’m grateful for my inability to turn my brain off at times because that’s when I come up with ideas."

"I feel creative. I feel excited," she added.

She reflected on the Eras Tour becoming a learning experience for her as she got "to watch one of the greatest performers every night."

However, Carpenter felt that she could also use the chance to become a better performer.

"My favorite thing to do has always been to watch people who look so comfortable in their bodies onstage, like Madonna and Britney [Spears] and Prince," she shared.

"Sometimes when you don’t have a mirror in front of you and you can’t actually see how you look, a lot of the learning comes from watching a video back and thinking, 'Oh, I thought I was giving more than I was actually giving,'" Carpenter added.
