LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sabrina Carpenter expressed her admiration and gratitude for Taylor Swift during an appearance on CBS 'Sunday Morning' over the weekend.
Reflecting on her time as an opening act on Swift’s Eras Tour earlier this year, Carpenter highlighted her appreciation for the support she received from Swift.

“You just watch her, like, walk in a room and it’s very easy to understand that she’s so composed, she’s graceful, she’s gracious,” Sabrina Carpenter remarked.
Rather than offering direct advice, Swift has served as a role model, embodying what fame should look like in the pop world.

“I wouldn’t say it’s, like, a verbal thing as much as just, like, she’s very supportive of me and knows who I am as a person and is very supportive of that,” she said, emphasizing the deep mutual respect they share.

Sabrina Carpenter further explained that navigating fame is a unique journey for everyone, and there’s no set blueprint.
“You just kind of have to exist and figure out what you can handle and what you don’t want to deal with,” she added. “You just kind of figure it out along the way. I know that sounds a little vague but I really do think that you find the people that you surround yourself with that make you feel safe and go from there.”
During the interview, Carpenter also touched on her Short n' Sweet tour, her songwriting process, and some common misconceptions about her.
“I think a misperception is that I don’t write my music,” she explained. “I think a lot of people think because I have, you know, a producer and co-writers that I love, that I’m sitting in the room on my phone, not writing songs.”

Carpenter also revealed the story behind casting her boyfriend, Barry Keoghan, in her music video for 'Please Please Please'.
"I was like, ‘Who’s the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?'” she said. “And he was next to me in a chair. And he was so excited about it, and he likes the song, which is great, he’s a fan of the song. He does like my music a lot, yeah.”
