Samantha Hanratty says she's 'still in shock' as she is set to welcome first baby with Christian DeAnda
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Yellowjackets' star Samantha Hanratty has announced her first pregnancy.
The actress posted a video on social media on Monday, August 12, to update her followers that she is expecting a baby with her husband Christian DeAnda.

In the video, Samantha Hanratty can be seen flaunting her shopping bag which possibly contained her pregnancy test kits. “This is silly, I should not even be doing this,” she joked.
Her first pregnancy test came out negative and she explained over the camera. “I said I wasn’t gonna get my hopes up," she said. However, she added that she “could still be pregnant and should try again next week.”
In the next segment, she got emotional while finding out a positive pregnancy test. "Still in shock and its been 4 months! I will be sharing more from my journey because it has been a wild one! Come follow this new adventure ♥️♥️♥️" she captioned.
DeAnda and Hanratty met during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 over the dating app Bumble, reports People.
They decided to go on a hike on their first date, and found a connection immediately. "The conversation was easy. We laughed a lot," she told the The Knot.
DeAnda added, "I love how open she is with me — we talk about anything on the face of the earth."
"That makes me feel comfortable and lets me know that there is no off-limits topic between us. We also have a lot of similar interests," DeAnda continued.
"I'm a huge nerd, and she's fallen into that world with me," he joked. The two got hitched in Paso Robles, California, in November 2023.
