Sandra Lee reveals she has moved to a hotel as Palisades wildfire destroyed her home
The food television personality informed her supporters that she had shifted to a hotel after revealing that her house was in danger of being destroyed by wildfires in Los Angeles.
Holding back tears, Lee began her emotional video by saying, "Good morning, thank you for all your well wishes. I'm in a hotel. I don't have a home anymore. My house is gone. It's literally gone. I've been crying all night. Thank God everybody is safe."
"I don't know what to say, I don't know how to compartmentalize this, I don't know what to do. All my stuff, all the last five years of my life. The only thing I can do is go to work, and I'm going to go to work today," she continued.
Lee, who previously was in a relationship with former New York governor Andrew Cuomo, broke down in tears as she reflected on the things she had lost as a result of the wildfires.
Lee stated that she intended to go to work as she usually does "every day." Through tears, she bravely said, "I’m gonna rebuild it I think, I don’t know how." Without being able to finish her statement, she abruptly began to cry.
Lee captioned her video, "For all your prayers-Thank you. I’m trying to process all this… I am truly grateful we are all safe. My house is gone-I cried all night and thought about every room, nook, and cranny. It was perfection and now it’s just Ash."
"Please keep our community, the firefighters and the first responders in your prayers. This is not over-not even close. Love and Prayers always- Sandra Lee," she added.
This came just hours after she released graphic clips of the Palisades fire threatening her cherished Malibu house as she fled the area.
Lee bought the beachfront house in November 2019, shortly after she and her partner of 14 years, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, parted ways. The single-story house sold for $3.38 million at the time, according to People.
Sandra Lee shared clips of wildfires growing closer to her Malibu house
Sandra Lee initially shared multiple footage of the horrifying fire outside her Malibu home on Instagram on Tuesday, January 7, from where she had to flee.
Lee included a few videos showing the trees and ground being scorched by the fire close to the highways near her house. Birds sought refuge by the sea as smoke billowed out towards the Pacific Ocean in another slide.
"My home in Malibu has got me through some of the darkest moments in my life. I have loved creating it, embellishing it, building it, caring for it, and protecting it. I’ve cherished every moment I have had with it," she captioned her post.
"As the fire draws closer, I pray for it—- I pray for everyone in Los Angeles right now. What an incredibly terrifying moment for my community. As the fire reaches our doorstep, please stay in contact with each other; Community in times like these is our lifeline," she added.

In a later video, she appeared driving down the Pacific Coast Highway in terror as smoke billowed into the air and flames ignited on both sides of the road.
The post also featured a video of the enormous smoke cloud sweeping across the Pacific Ocean. The last footage seemed to have been captured on her property before she left the area.
Over 30,000 inhabitants had to flee their homes as a huge wildfire tore through the affluent neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, destroying dozens of homes and scorching almost 3,000 acres, per Daily Mail.
According to the Los Angeles Times, residents evacuated for their safety when brush fires broke out in LA due to an intense windstorm brought on by Santa Ana gusts.
The Associated Press further reported that over 13,000 buildings were "under threat," adding that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
