LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Comedian Jeff Dye has recently stated that actress Sarah Hyland was "rude to everyone" on set during their 2019 movie 'The Wedding Year'.

During a recent interview on 'The George Janko Show', Dye talked to the podcast host about his experience working with the 34-year-old 'Modern Family' alum, calling Hyland a "tyrant" and claiming that she didn't like him in particular.

Co-star Jeff Dye accuses Sarah Hyland of misbehaving on set of 'The Wedding Year'

The 42-year-old stand-up comedian posted a preview of Thursday's, February 13, podcast episode on X (formerly Twitter) along with the caption, "Sarah Hyland s****."

His claims, which include grievances about her treatment of staff members and extras, have rekindled discussions about on-set dynamics and Hollywood hierarchy.

"In the time that I had to be on set, Sarah Hyland was the lead," Dye said on Thursday's podcast episode, admitting his part in the romantic comedy lasted for roughly "30 seconds."

According to Dye—who was once romantically involved with Kristin Cavallari from 2020 to 2021—Hyland was "rude to everyone," calling her a "pretty woman who chain-smokes and is terrible," per the New York Post.

The 42-year-old comic added that Hyland once voiced her displeasure to director Robert Luketic on the fact that extras were eating from the table used for craft services.

"She was annoyed that some extras wanted some f**king free granola bars … like it was in her kitchen or something," Dye recalled.

Moreover, Dye claimed that Hyland "hated" him, citing an instance when she told him, "You’re what is wrong with people."

Given that she is "not used to masculine energy of any sort," Dye conjectured that Hyland's contempt for him might have been motivated by his gender.

Jeff Dye also related an instance where the former 'Love Island' host showed the cast and crew members the 2019 live-action 'Dumbo' movie trailer on her phone.

"They’re all in this hierarchy of Hollywood where it’s like, she’s No 1 on the call sheet, [so] we have to, like, pander to her. If she’s mean to us, just let her be mean to us, and if she’s sad, pretend like it’s OK that she’s sad," Dye explained.

At one point, Dye said, Hyland was crying while viewing the clip, and he said, "That looks gay," in disbelief at the time.

"I didn’t even mean it. I just wanted to ruin the moment. I ruined her little showpiece," Dye admitted on the podcast, before concluding by saying, "She thinks she’s so important, and this is, like, the whole industry."

Dye maintained that Hyland treated everyone equally when he was questioned about whether his own actions were a factor in her alleged disdain.

According to his claims, Dye "checked in with everybody" on the set, and they all agreed that Hyland was "mean."

Dye even quipped about the cast and crew finding common ground in their annoyances with the 'Modern Family' actress. "I think, actually, people found camaraderie in hating her. Like, she was the island," he remarked.

Regardless of potentially facing backlash for his remarks, Dye remained unapologetic. He insisted that he was "just being honest" when he said, "Don’t care at all."

Dye's claims transpired while Hyland is being sued by her former manager, who claimed she owes 'Modern Family' unpaid commissions, per Daily Mail.
