SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS: The recent murders of pregnant teenager Savannah Soto and her boyfriend Matthew Guerra have left San Antonio in shock.

As police continue investigations, Internet sleuths believe that they may have spotted one of the 'persons of interest' at the vigil recently held for Soto by her family.

Police release footage of 'persons of interest'

The San Antonio Police Department released video footage featuring two individuals described as 'persons of interest' in the shooting deaths of 18-year-old Savanah Nicole Soto and her boyfriend, Matthew Guerra, aged 22, as per CBS News.

The young couple, reported missing and later found dead in Guerra's car, suffered fatal gunshot wounds. The released footage captures one person driving a dark pickup truck identified as a Chevy Silverado, alongside another individual operating Guerra's Kia Optima, near the location where the bodies were discovered.

Police Chief Bill McManus highlighted the proximity of the video to the crime scene, emphasizing that it was recorded days prior to the victims' recovery.

McManus refrained from confirming any direct linkage between the persons in the video and the victims, further stating uncertainties regarding the actions observed, including a possible attempt to wipe down the car.

Savanah Soto's family holds vigil for slain 18-year-old

Family and friends of Savanah Soto gathered at Kenwood Park in San Antonio to honor the memory of the young victim amidst an emotional vigil. Over a hundred attendees, including Soto's loved ones, convened to pay their respects to the 18-year-old and her unborn child, Fabian, KSAT reports.

The atmosphere was poignant as balloons were released and doves set free, symbolizing the collective remembrance of Soto and her unborn baby. Among those present were Soto's grandmother, Rachel Soto, and her father, who, in a heartfelt gesture, released doves as a tribute to the departed.

The park became a sanctuary of memories as a memorial adorned with painted rocks and a newly-planted tree stood adjacent to the one planted in honor of Soto's slain brother from the previous year.

Liz Perez, Soto's past stepmother, expressed the profound impact of the tragedy, stating, "It just breaks my heart. I'm just still trying to soak it all in."

Soto's mother, Gloria Cordova, spoke of her daughter's excitement about impending motherhood. "She was so excited to have this baby, the house is already baby-ready. She was so ready to be a mom. I think she was meant to be a mom."
