LONDON, UK: Renowned DJ Calvin Harris knows when to hang his boots!

The music producer-songwriter, who celebrated his 40th birthday in January 2024, shared that he’ll most probably stop DJing once hitting the 50 landmark.

“I always said that once I get past 50, I can’t see me DJing, man,” the 'This Is What You Came For' artist said on UK radio station Capital Dance.

Calvin Harris plans to transition into producing music

The host of the show reminded the artist that British DJ Carl Cox is still active and doing live performances at age 61.

“It’s a certain type of DJing. On the more commercial end, it gets a wee bit… a little bit suspect,” Harris responded.

“I think I’d prefer to be in the studio making tunes, like ghost producers. I think that’s where the majority of my talent lies, is making songs sound good. So, I would like to make other people’s records sound good,” he added.

On growing and aging, Harris earlier said, “I think in the run-up to it, you’re googling anti-aging supplements."

“You know, my missus [wife Vick Hope], she’s got so much energy. I’m trying to keep up with her,” he added.

The DJ and producer was also recently in the news after his 10-bedroom hillside mansion had erupted in flames and was quickly engulfed by ravenous smoke and fire.

Harris was luckily not at home when the emergency response network sprang into action. Within minutes firefighters, EMTs, and helicopters swarmed the palatial property, racing against time to prevent destruction as smoke emanated from the mansion's roof, as per Daily Mail.
