For the premiere that took place at The Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles, on Wednesday, March 19, Coupe pulled off a shiny deep-neck dress paired with a mink coat and suede boots.

However, it was her looks that drew the maximum attention, as several fans pointed out that she was not looking well, as reported by Daily Mail

For the Hollywood premiere of ‘The Residence’, Coupe opted for a metallic sleeveless gold dress with a deep cowl neck. She completed her look with a pair of thigh-high black suede boots and a black mink coat, which she draped over her arms.

She mostly opted for a natural make up look paired with smoky eyes, and kept her hair down with her fringes brushing just over her eyebrows.

However, as the actress made an appearance, several fans noted the difference from her youthful look over 15 years ago in ‘Scrubs’.

Coupe acted in the eighth and ninth seasons of the popular sitcom, where she essayed the role of Denise 'Jo' Mahoney in the last two seasons of ‘Scrubs’ in 2009 and 2010.

While Coupe’s character started off as an intern at the Sacred Heart Hospital, she rose to the ranks of a resident at the fictional hospital.

After the show went off air, she also starred in the ABC series ‘Happy Endings’ as Jane Kerkovich-Williams from 2011 to 2013.

While fans have been left concerned about her looks, the actress has previously shared in an interview that she has severe issues with food. Coupe, who strictly follows a vegan diet, has previously shared that she can’t eat anything with seeds.

She also shared during an interview in 2017, per Bon Apetit, "I’m an actress with food issues and body image issues—that's real. But I'm trying to heal that part of myself and also handle my physical issues naturally by putting the best things into my body."

Reflecting on the body image issue, she continued, "I'm in such a high-stress job where women have to wear tight dresses all the time, and if I eat something that messes me up, I'll be so cripplingly uncomfortable that I can't go 12 more hours of shooting without freaking out.”

"Worrying about it makes it worse, because I am an incredibly anxious person,” she shared before revealing, “When I was 23, I cut all sugar out of my diet, quit drinking, and found yoga and breathing and stretching. That’s the best Ritalin you could give anyone."

Fans left concerned with Eliza Coupe's photos from 'The Residence' premiere

After Coupe's images from 'The Residence' premiere came out, several fans were left concerned about her looks and health. Though a group of fans urged her to stay healthy, another group shared that her unrecognizable look was partially because of the cut of her dress.

One of the readers commented online, "Wow. Don't do drugs kids. Doesn't look a day over seventy."

Someone else suggested, "Surely she has friends who could tell her how bad that dress looks."

"The years have not been kind," noted another user.

Someone else added, "Shocking. Hope she gets the help she needs."

"Good grief 43 ?? ... I have seen better healthier looking 80 year old people," commented another fan.

Someone else added, "She appears to have had a very hard life to look like that at.only 43. I hope.she can sort herself out."

"OMG what has happened to her? She looks so ill," shared someone else, before pointing out, "Either anorexic/ too much skinny jabbing, or on drugs. She doesn’t look like the same person in OITNB."

However, not everyone harbored the same opinion, as they said, "You dont know what she is dealing with behind closed doors, i dont get why people feel the need to be so cruel and pass comments when you are not in possession of the facts. I wonder if the people with the negatvie comments on here would have the courage to say it face to face."

"She doesn’t drink or take drugs," penned another fan, and added, "She and partner live extreme wellness. EXTREME. Being the word here. She has multiple food ‘allergies’ (to everything- apparently. All of this is well documented online. Her make up is dreadful, the dress shape/colour is worse and the tattoo’s…"
