NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt announced their engagement on Thursday, December 26, after being in a secret long-distance relationship for four years, according to People.

Getting engaged at a church near Sean's home in Florida, the couple told Fox News, "We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all of their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives."

Going public with their relationship, Hannity and Earhardt shared that they had the support of their children, who "couldn't be happier." However, it did open up public discourse on the age difference between the two television personalities.

Sean Hannity, 62, and Ainsley Earhardt, 48, got engaged in 2024, according to Distractify. The 14-year age gap between them is notable but not unusual.

Both network hosts have been previously married and have children.

Hannity married Jill Rhodes in 1993 and fathered two children, Patrick and Merri. The pair divorced in 2019. On the other hand, Earhardt married Will Proctor in 2012. The couple was separated in 2018 and divorced a year later, but they share a daughter named Hayden.

Apart from working as an anchor on the same conservative network, Earhardt and Hannity reportedly bonded over their shared religious beliefs, which led to Hannity picking the church as the "perfect place" to propose.

Before sharing the news of their engagement Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt reportedly dated in secret for an extended period.

A source shared with the publication back in June 2020 that the couple had been "seeing each other very secretively for years," and only kept it under the wraps as Hannity "is very private because he's very famous and he’s very controversial."

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Earhardt hosted her show from Hannity's basement, which gave another major hint that the two were involved romantically.

"It's been an open secret that they have been seeing each other," the source had added. "They're together all the time, but in private for years, not just months."
