Selena Gomez admits having 'Botox' as she shuts down plastic surgery rumors amid health struggles
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Selena Gomez has addressed speculations surrounding her cosmetic procedures amid health conditions.
Recently, content creator Marissa Barrionuevo had posted side-by-side photos of Gomez on TikTok, pointing out how her face had changed over the years. Gomez then responded to Barrionuevo over her social media channel.
What did Selena Gomez say on cosmetic procedure?
Barrionuevo, a physician assistant in a plastic surgery office, reasoned that the star's health struggles with lupus played a crucial role in her changed appearance, and refused to analyze her present look.
In a TikTok video, Gomez said, “Honestly I hate this. I was on stripes because of flare up. I have Botox. That’s it. Leave me alone.”
On the ‘Love On’ singer’s frustrated comment, Barrionuevo pinned it to the top of her latest post and apologized to the singer for her previous video which is now deleted.
“I adore you. I really do mean the best, so I apologize if this rubbed you the wrong way in any way whatsoever,” the content creator shared.
She further wrote, “Although I always try to lead with grace and mindfulness, I am sorry this upset you (and I understand why it did). I decided to stop making videos like this last year because of the negative impact it can cause. It was never my intention.”
Gomez responded to her apology and wrote, “I love you. Not about you. I just get sad sometimes.”
The 32-year-old was diagnosed with Lupus in 2014 and had to go through a kidney transplant and chemotherapy, according to TMZ.

"I wish people would stop doing things to their faces. Majority of the time it ages them and doesn’t look good," another user opined.
"Wow she was and is beautiful always. This young generation feels like they need all this at 30. I didn't get wrinkles or anything till my 50's she must feel insecure to have this done so young," one person expressed.
Another reflected, "She had a kidney transplant and takes medication to not rejected etc, has gained weight and our face and body changes as we get older, she’s not a girl anymore, and don’t think with so many health issues she could qualify for plastic surgery."
