Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s sweet Emmys PDA melts hearts but it’s her ring that has fans talking

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco made the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards their PDA-filled date night as they arrived in matching outfits for the event on Sunday, September 15. While Selena did look divine, a certain accessory she wore set the rumor mills turning. 

The 32-year-old actress was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy for ‘Only Murders in the Building’ as well as a producer of the Hulu comedy, as reported by People.

Though the loved-up couple didn't pose together on the red carpet together, Blanco made sure to be there as a supportive partner.

For the big night, Selena Gomez chose to wear a custom black velvet gown from the Ralph Lauren Collection that came with an embellished collar.

To add more sparkle to her look, she donned a pair of drop earrings, bracelets, and numerous rings, including a Tiffany & Co platinum band studded with diamonds on her engagement ring finger.

This ring on that finger did not go unnoticed. People were left speculating whether she and Blanco had taken the next step in their relationship.

However, the band on the ring finger does not necessarily mean she is engaged to Blanco and there has been no such confirmation from the singer.

The ‘Monte Carlo’ star’s boyfriend matched her in a black suit, featuring bedazzled floral pattern. Blanco also added a gold chain necklace with a heart-shaped charm to complete his look for the awards ceremony.

Benny Blanco looked completely smitten by Selena Gomez as he was seen repeatedly kissing the singer at the event.

Gomez also held Blanco’s hand while sitting next to him inside the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

Selena Gomez calls Benny Blanco ‘light in my life’

Selena Gomez told Vanity Fair about Benny Blanco during an interview in early September, “I’ve never been loved this way. He’s just been a light. A complete light in my life. He’s my best friend. I love telling him everything.”

The singer also noted, “We always make sure we’re protecting what we have, but there’s no rules. I want him to always be himself. I always want to be myself,” before asserting that if the relationship ends in marriage, she’s “not changing my name no matter what. I am Selena Gomez. That’s it.”

Blanco also praised Gomez during an interview in May.

“The way we talk and stuff, people always say this to me, ‘You know when you meet your best friend.’ She’s truly just like my best friend. We laugh all f**king day. She inspires me,” he stated.

The songwriter added, “I get home from work, I think I had a good day. I’m like, ‘What did you do?’ She’s like, ‘Oh, I just filmed this thing with Meryl Streep and then I went to a fundraiser and now I’m like recording—’ My day sounds like s**t every day compared to hers.”

Commenting on how Selena Gomez looked so enamored by Benny Blanco as she sat on her boyfriend's lap, fans of the singer couldn't help but gush.

The matching outfits was not lost on observant fans either as one social media user exclaimed, "They matched outfits."

One social media user seemed to be more interested in Selena's jewelry, as they wrote, " Can we talk about Selena Gomes 48 carats 88 millions engagement ring."

Selena's diamond ring did catch a lot of attention but it would be too far-fetched to call it an 'engagement' ring. 

A couple of fans on social media felt they could recognize that look on Selena's face as she posed with Blanco.

"Selena’s eyes are shinning again! I have never seen her this in love," said one.
