“I am in tears,” Gomez wrote. “@ddlovato - this was hands down one of the best shows. Oh, and the VOCALS? Psh *blown away.”
Gomez continued documenting the night with a series of moments that painted a fuller picture - from a backstage hug between the two to a video of her dancing in the crowd.

Speaking at an event in New York City on March 17, Lovato shared how this phase of her life feels different. “It's really amazing to be in this era right now,” she said. “It's very celebratory, very fun.”
She explained that the album itself is a reflection of where she stands today. “I mean, that was really what the essence of the album was, was a reflection of where I'm at in my life today, which is I'm happier than ever, and I wanted my music to reflect that.”
A night full of music, memories, and familiar faces
The opening night wasn’t just about Lovato and Gomez. It also brought together familiar faces from their Disney days.
Joe Jonas, Lovato’s 'Camp Rock' co-star, made a surprise appearance and performed on stage with her, adding another nostalgic touch to the evening.

For Lovato, the excitement of being back on tour is mixed with a bit of nerves - something she openly admitted.
“I'm very, very, very excited and a little overwhelmed, a little nervous, but I'm very excited, and I can't wait to see everybody on the road,” she shared.
She also teased what fans can expect from the shows. “I can't wait to play music from It's Not That Deep, but also songs that you are all already familiar with.”
