LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: AThe family of musician Oliver Tree has shared an obituary and announced plans for a 'celebration of life' service, outlining how fans and loved ones can honor the late singer following his sudden death at 32.

The update, shared through his official social media account, detailed memorial arrangements, limited attendance plans, and a livestream option, drawing widespread attention from fans revisiting his career and artistic legacy.

According to a statement shared via Tree’s official Instagram account, the “A celebration of his life/ memorial service will be held at the UCSC Quarry Amphitheater on July 25th,” the family announced on Friday, June 26.

The family confirmed that the event would be limited in capacity due to space restrictions and would primarily include close friends and relatives. To ensure fans could still take part in honoring his memory, they added that “this event will also be streamed live.”

The late singer’s obituary also reflected his mission to “spread art, joy, laughter and love into the world,” emphasizing his distinctive ability to blend performance art with his public persona.

The post further read, “Oliver was more than a musician; he was a true artist in every sense of the word, seeing the world as a stage for his performance art. He pushed boundaries in every form of media and life."

“Oliver was on a mission to bring the world together through art and inspiring other artists to create. Being a forward thinker, Oliver created a non-profit entitled” the tribute continued, alongside a 15-slide carousel highlighting moments from his life and career.

Oliver Tree dies in helicopter accident during world tour stop in Brazil

Oliver Tree Nickell, known professionally as Oliver Tree, died in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 14 after two helicopters collided mid-air. The crash involved two aircraft carrying six people.

Five passengers in one helicopter and a pilot in the other also died in the incident. The “Life Goes On” singer had recently performed in São Paulo as part of his seven-continent world tour shortly before the tragedy.

Following the news, fans and fellow artists shared tributes across social media, revisiting his performances and songs that shaped his public image.

The family’s obituary has since focused on celebrating his artistic legacy, while public discussion continues around the sudden circumstances of his passing and the impact he left on the music world.
