HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT: Megyn Kelly, the former Fox News anchor known for her public feuds with Donald Trump, has ignited a firestorm of controversy by admitting that she voted for the former president in the 2020 election.

In a candid revelation on her podcast 'The Megyn Kelly Show,' the outspoken journalist confessed that her concerns over cultural issues, particularly regarding the education of her children, ultimately swayed her to cast her ballot for Trump despite their well-documented clashes, as reported by OK! "I had a long contentious relationship with Donald Trump, you may be aware. And going into 2020, I didn't know whether I could pull the lever for him. I really didn't," Kelly explained, acknowledging the history between her and Trump.

Kelly eventually confessed that she initially shared her voting decision with her breast oncology doctor, citing concerns over the direction of the country and the impact of "trans ideology nonsense" being taught in schools.

"I told her, I voted for Donald Trump," Kelly disclosed, adding that she had previously refrained from publicly revealing her political choices as a journalist. "It was about my concern for this country, and my children and what was happening in particular in this culture lane, but in other lanes as well."

Kelly revealed that she was almost in tears when confiding in her doctor, who was aware of the challenges Kelly had faced due to Trump's actions. However, she also recounted feeling a sense of relief afterward.

"I felt so much better after she told her," Kelly shared. "It's not that I needed her approval, we're not even that close. It's not like we ever had dinner together, she was just this person who I talked to for all those years."

Internet slams Megyn Kelly in wake of her revelation about voting for Donald Trump

Kelly's revelation about voting for Trump in the 2020 election sparked a wave of backlash on social media.

One X user said, "We get it, your selling out for MAGA viewership, it's easy to see." [sic]

Another echoed, "self debasement for more money, greed over self respect." [sic]

A user wrote, "Translation: 'Please keep filling my pockets, you MAGA rubes!'"

Another commenter criticized Kelly's integrity, stating, "Not reading your dumb post. You lost any of the tiny bit of integrity you think you had when you (tried) to throw @realDonaldTrump under the bus. Being irrelevant ever since you lap at his heels & try to ingratiate yourself to MAGA. Give it up @megynkelly. You're a loser - Always were."

A user questioned Kelly's decision, asking, "After the disgusting things he has said about you?"

Another user condemned Kelly's choice, saying, "Pathetic that fascism is the gift you want to give your children. What kind of a mother are you?"
