LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actress Selma Blair has come under fire after paying tribute to conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot at Utah Valley University last week.

Blair, 53, reportedly left a comment on one of Kirk’s Instagram posts, describing him as an “incredible man” who engaged in dialogue despite ideological differences.

“This incredible man. Who would go into the cauldron of indoctrination. And use logic to have dialogue. I am sick for his family. For all of us,” she wrote, according to screenshots shared on Reddit.

Within hours, Blair turned off comments across her social media platforms as users expressed disappointment and anger. Some fans said they felt “let down” by her stance, while others argued that celebrities should avoid sharing polarizing political views.

“Oof. That’s so disappointing. She wouldn’t be where she is now without the gays,” one disappointed user wrote.

Another user commented, “Incredible man" is probably the farthest thing from what my description of him would be.” “Whooooaaaa, I've never seen this comment before. Holy s**t. Man, this bums me out,” one wrote, while another added, “I'd say we should know less about each other, but I guess I'm glad I know this is the kind of person she really is.”

FBI confirms suspect planned attack on Charlie Kirk

According to FBI Director Kash Patel, the accused gunman, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, left a note declaring his intention to target Kirk. “We have since learned the note — even though it was destroyed — we have found forensic evidence of the note and we have confirmed what the note said,” Patel stated.

He added that the FBI verified the contents through an “aggressive interview posture” with witnesses.

Robinson allegedly wrote, “I have the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it,” before carrying out the attack. He surrendered to police days later and is now in custody facing charges related to the killing.
