Selma Blair mistaken for A-list singer by airport security, fans can't get enough of the 'twinning' look
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actress Selma Blair was shocked to be mistaken for the A-list pop star Sia at an airport on Friday, November 29, reported the Daily Mail.
Going by the fact that she took to the social media platform Instagram to gleefully share the accident, it appears to be a happy one.
According to the publication, the 52-year-old who recently modeled a Marilyn Monroe-inspired look has since cut her platinum blonde hair to style it into blunt bangs, which led to the confusion.

Selma Blair's Instagram reel
Selma Blair recreated the fun moment of her being mistaken as Sia by the airport security for the Instagram reel, which she began by saying, "Guess what?"
She panned her phone camera to a security guard standing beside her, who reenacted their exchange.
"Oh my god, you look just like Sia! Your hair," he said enthusiastically.
"And he stopped me and I was like, 'I was with Sia last night for Thanksgiving'. We all love Sia," continued Blair, with a wide smile, before ending the clip by blowing a kiss to the camera.
The 'Hellboy' actress wrote "I love my friend, Sia," over the video, tagged the singer, as well as added in the caption, "I love you."
Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, who is better known by her first name, is a 48-year-old songwriter who is known for her oversized, eccentric wigs. She first received mainstream fame for her hit 2014 number 'Chandelier', where she wore a blonde bob wig that obscured her face.
Even when Sia is not wearing wigs during performances, her natural hair is described by the Daily Mail as a platinum blonde 'do with wispy bangs.
Selma Blair is in remission from MS
Selma Blair's fun reel comes shortly after the actress announced being in remission from multiple sclerosis, for which she was diagnosed in 2018.
She reportedly underwent a bone marrow treatment and made changes in her medications, following which her health has steadily improved.
"I started feeling really better this last year, and I'm back at work and doing things so I will have things to announce," Blair said in a recent interview, sharing that earlier she "felt so weak and all the fogs and the movement really made it impossible to go out at night. I just had no strength. I didn't think I'd get to feel this grounded."
As she has been recovering, Blair stated that her work as an advocate has become increasingly important for her.
"You don't realize how much visibility matters for people until people thank you," she said. "Even if it's as simple as people telling you that they appreciate the chance to feel seen. I didn't take that into account at the beginning. I never thought people would see themselves in me, but now that's really important to me."
