Shameik Moore's cryptic post moments after Hailee Steinfeld declares engagement to Josh Allen causes stir

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Shameik Moore was called a “sad man” by fans after they connected his cryptic social media post to Hailee Steinfeld's engagement announcement.

Moore’s ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ co-star Hailee Steinfeld recently announced engagement to NFL star Josh Allen, her boyfriend of one year.

The newly engaged couple shared the good news to their fans on Instagram on Saturday, November 30. While the couple shared the joyous moment, Steinfeld's co-star, Moore, reportedly appeared unhappy - or at least philosophical - on social media, leading many fans to speculate about his allegedly unsuccessful shots at wooing the 27-year-old actress.

On the same day when Hailee Steinfeld was celebrating her love-filled engagement, Shameik Moore appeared morose as he mused about moving on in a social media post. 

Taking to his handle on X, Moore wrote, “There’s still more people to meet. More opportunities to come. And more chances to try. Live, learn, apply.”

Though he did not directly name the ‘Hawkeye’ actress in his post, fans were quick to assume there was a link between his post and Steinfeld's engagement. 

Previously in the past as well, fans have not only accused him of unsuccessfully trying to woo her but also of being the “only Spiderman to fumble the girl.”

Despite the social media chatter, the duo have never publicly been in a relationship. 

Steinfeld, on the other hand, sparked rumors of a relationship with the Buffalo Bills quarterback in May 2023. Recently, Allen got on his knees to pop the question to his girlfriend, who gladly said yes.

Shameik Moore's tweet left him at the receiving end of Twiteratti's mockery as the fans roasted him for his apparent groveling. Some even prophesied that the heartbroken Moore gave "his best Miles Morales performance."

One social media commented on Moore's post, "This tweet following the news so soon is insane."

Someone else predicted, "Shameik Moore bout to give us his best Miles Morales performance."

Referencing his tweet, another fan mused, "Dude is manifesting hard today 😭."

"The timing is insane," observed another netizen as Moore's tweet came at the heels of Steinfeld's announcement.

Another fan was, however, more sympathetic as they noted, "Bro crashing out over hailee I can't blame him."

"The real ones know those generic "keep your head up" posts are just covering up some seriously messy relationship drama that happened behind the scenes - spill the tea already," chimed in another.

Someone else added, "Bro thought he actually had a chance."

Another social media user even predicted Moore's villain arc, saying, "Villain in the making as we speak!!"
