Joshua Williams arrested for strangling teen girlfriend
In a similar incident, Joshua Williams, a 24-year-old man from Illinois, was arrested for allegedly strangling a 15-year-old girl to death and performing a series of incriminating internet searches related to strangulation, the death penalty, and "how to explain an asphyxiation death."
Williams was charged with one count of first-degree murder in the murder of Amarise Parker, who was found dead with a necklace lodged in her throat.
Prosecutors claimed that Williams and Parker had a "dating relationship" before the victim died. Parker's family reported her missing multiple times due to her runaway behavior.
Williams allegedly fell asleep together and claimed he panicked when Parker did not wake up the next day.
Police discovered incriminating Google searches and videos showing Williams touching Parker's dead body. Williams was wanted in Colorado Springs for an assault case, including strangling.
