Did Shania Twain take cover inspiration from Lana Del Rey?

After her social media announcement, Lana Del Rey's fans called out the country singer for copying the ‘Doin’ Time’ singer.

In 2012, Lana Del Rey released her album ‘Born To Die’, which consisted of hit songs ‘Born To Die,’ ‘Summertime Sadness,’ ‘National Anthem,’ and ‘Video Games.’

Now, Twain is being accused by critics of taking inspiration from Rey’s look in her album cover where she wore a sheer white long-sleeved shirt with a red bikini top underneath, reports US Sun. Her name also spelled out in white large letters.

In a recent interview, while reflecting on her unexpected role as a trailblazer for women in music, Twain said, "It wasn’t like I intended on being a trailblazer or anything; I never even realized I would be."

The singer also told HauteLiving, "I was just trying to be original, my authentic self, and to do it with conviction. I’m an expressive person, and I put that into my music. I was saying it with attitude and with confidence because I meant it."
