Shania Twain looks 'unrecognizable' in custom embellished denim outfit at People’s Choice Country Awards
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Shania Twain brought "glamour to the country," and she obviously delivered it in style.
According to the fans, the 59-year-old country singer looked “unrecognizable,” as she made the red carpet of the People Choice Country Awards her personal runway.
The ‘You’ve Got a Way’ hitmaker made a statement in denim and rhinestones on Thursday as she took up the hosting duty of the coveted award show.

For her outing, Shania Twain was dressed in a customized two-piece outfit that her stylist Greer Heavrin curated in collaboration with Levi's, per People.
The beloved American brand explained in a statement, "The final two-piece custom denim gown and gloves were all hand measured, cut, stitched, and crystallized specially for Shania Twain to create a stand out red carpet moment.”
Levi’s further mentioned in its statement that they referenced "pieces from historic custom looks throughout the years to create the full-length denim skirt, fit right at the waist for a modern interpretation of the classic mermaid skirt."

Twain wore a two-piece denim outfit featuring a mermaid skirt with rhinestone embellishments on the hem, paired with a chic halter neck top with oversized pointed collars - giving a nod to the Western roots.
For her makeup too, Twain went full glam and styled her hair in a retro upturned blonde bob. She accessorized with a huge blue ring with a diamond halo that she wore on her pinky.
The exuberant songstress shared with People ahead of the event that she planned to exude glamour at the event as she took up the stage to host the ceremony.
"I'm out to feel my best and to feel great in what I'm wearing, so I plan on being glamorous," Twain said, before explaining, "I love bringing glamour to country. It's great to refresh it because it was way more glamorous when I was a kid.”
“It was very common for the men in my grandparents country music to wear crystal and bejeweled pants, for example,” explained the ‘From This Moment On’ singer about her fashion inspiration.
However, she mourned, “That's gone away for a long time,” before adding resolutely, “I think it's time for country to get a little more glamorous again, so that's my plan."
In another interview with E! News on the red carpet, Twain spilled that to achieve her fashion goal, she was intrinsically involved in designing her look for the night.
“I was involved with the sketches and the design and the silhouette and everything,” shared the ‘You’re Still The One’ singer before admitting, “To me, that’s the joy.”
“It’s not about putting on something that’s amazing—it’s about being part of it,” concluded Twain.
