NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce lavish wedding at Madison Square Garden continues to dominate headlines, with fans still talking about the star-studded guest list and the couple's strict privacy measures.

One celebrity who did not make the cut was NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal. Rather than expressing disappointment, O'Neal responded with his signature humor, jokingly calling out the newlyweds after revealing he never received an invitation.

Shaquille O'Neal jokes about missing Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding guest list

The funny moment happened at Fanatics Fest 2026 in New York. When a reporter asked O'Neal if he attended the wedding, he laughed and admitted he did not get an invite. He looked at the camera and said, "Thanks, Taylor. Thanks, Travis."

Even though he was clearly joking, O'Neal wanted to make sure everyone knew there were no hard feelings. He quickly switched to a kind tone and wished the couple the best, saying, "May it last forever."

The moment was especially amusing because O'Neal's 'Inside the NBA' co-star Charles Barkley was invited to the wedding. While stars like Patrick Mahomes, Hugh Grant, and even Harry Styles made the guest list, O'Neal did not. Swift and Kelce may have had their own reasons for keeping the guest list exclusive.

It was a classic O'Neal moment that reminded fans why he remains one of the most popular personalities in sports. He found humor in missing one of the year's biggest celebrity events while offering his sincere congratulations to the newlyweds.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce enforce strict privacy at Madison Square Garden wedding

To keep the celebration completely private, Swift and Kelce reportedly put some of the strictest security measures ever seen at a celebrity wedding in place. Before entering the venue, every guest had to sign a strict nondisclosure agreement (NDA).

The couple wanted to ensure that no details leaked before they were ready to share them publicly. Once the approximately 1,000 guests arrived, they also had to follow a strict no-phone policy. Security personnel collected everyone's cell phones and smartwatches at the entrance.

Guests were also screened for high-tech devices, including smart glasses, to ensure no one could secretly record the ceremony. The policy reportedly applied not only to celebrity guests but also to staff members, caterers, and New York City police officers assigned to the event.

As a result, Madison Square Garden became a completely private, phone-free venue where guests celebrated the couple's wedding, enjoyed Adam Sandler's surprise role during the festivities, and watched Swift and Kelce exchange their vows without worrying about photos or videos surfacing online.
