Sharon Stone says she has never met her 'great love' as she seeks companionship at 68
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sharon Stone admits she has never met the “great love” of her life despite having been married twice. The actress also revealed that she has been celibate for quite a while as she now looks for meaningful companionship rather than casual relationships.
The 68-year-old actress made the admission during an appearance on Mayim Bialik’s 'Breakdown' podcast. She also discussed predictions about meeting a partner later in life and her views on being labelled a difficult actress in Hollywood.
Sharon Stone reflects on love and finding companionship
During the podcast interview, Stone said she is a “really good girlfriend” but has not been one for a long time. She reflected on having both good and bad relationships, adding that she has experienced “good luck and bad luck and no luck at all.”
She explained that she has been celibate for quite a while because she now wants to be with someone she genuinely cares about. With her adopted sons Roan, 26, Laird, 21, and Quinn, 20, now grown, she said she wants a companion rather than someone whose purpose is simply physical intimacy, adding that she is “kind of bored with that.”
Stone also acknowledged that she does not believe she has experienced the great love of her life, despite having been married twice. She was first married to television producer Michael Greenburg and later to journalist Phil Bronstein, from whom she divorced in 2004.
She said accepting a period of being alone is necessary if she is eventually going to find the relationship she wants. The actress recalled visiting a psychic when she was 23 who had also worked with the late singer Tina Turner. Stone claimed the psychic accurately predicted her future global fame but told her that finding lasting love would be more difficult.
According to Stone, the psychic predicted she would not meet her person until she was “quite old,” almost 70, and that the partner would be like her in a way. Stone said another psychic later gave her the same prediction.
She previously declared in 2020 that she was “done” with dating because she found people “insincere,” but she has made clear she has not given up on finding love.
Stone also discussed Hollywood’s treatment of women, arguing that actresses can be labelled “difficult” when they refuse expectations placed on them regarding intimate relationships.
Sharon Stone returns to the runway and discusses 'Euphoria'
Stone returned to the runway during Paris Fashion Week, appearing at the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show on June 26. She wore an oversized white blazer, black collared shirt, white tie and thigh-high black latex heeled boots, with her blonde hair styled into a blunt bob.
Her previous runway appearance was Valentino’s Spring/Summer 1994 show in October 1993, where she closed the show in a white mini dress with lace tights and a lace top hat featuring a floor-length veil.
Stone was a longtime friend of Valentino Garavani and shared a heartfelt Instagram post following his death at 93 in January, thanking him for his talent, vision and friendship.
She also recently appeared in season 3 of HBO’s 'Euphoria.' Stone called the series “the greatest show on television” and said it should be shown in every high school, with parents required to watch it. As a mother of three boys who are now men, she said the series is relevant to what is happening in the world and praised it for showing young people growing into adults.
