LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift has been celebrated online after she frankly spoke about the issue involving the sale of her masters that happened a few years ago.

In 2019, the 33-year-old singer’s former label, Big Machine Records, was reportedly bought by her archnemesis Scooter Braun's firm Ithaca Holdings.

‘Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work’

But Swift was left heartbroken when Braun, who was then managing Kanye West, and who also had a bad personal history with the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer, became the owner of her masters, Buzzfeed reported.

He reportedly profited from Swift’s albums named — ‘Taylor Swift’, ’Fearless’, ‘Speak Now’, ‘Red’, ‘1989’, and ‘Reputation’.

However, as per an earlier deal, Big Machine was supposed to have all rights on the masters while the ‘Lover’ singer becaming the new owner of her songs at her new label, Republic Records.

At the time, Swift trashed the business deal and reportedly posted on Tumblr, “I learned about Scooter Braun’s purchase of my masters as it was announced to the world.

“All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years.”

The songwriter also added, “Now Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work, that I wasn’t given an opportunity to buy. Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.”

However, eventually on the advice of Kelly Clarkson and her father, Swift re-recorded her songs.

She recently told Time Magazine, “I’d run into Kelly Clarkson and she would go, ‘Just redo it.’”

She revealed, “My dad kept saying it to me too. I’d look at them and go, ‘How can I possibly do that?’ Nobody wants to redo their homework if on the way to school, the wind blows your book report away.”

The ‘Blank Space’ singer further stated that “nothing is permanent.”

“So I’m very careful to be grateful every second that I get to be doing this at this level because I’ve had it taken away from me before,” she mentioned, before taking a dig at Braun and West.

She added, “But I’ve also learned there’s no point in actively trying to quote unquote defeat your enemies. Trash takes itself out every single time.”

‘She’s made biggest re-recordings in history’

A lot of people have praised Swift for her positive attitude despite the huge setback she faced. An X user tweeted, “She came back stronger than a 90s trend.”

“And now she’s made the biggest rerecordings in history,” another user commented.

The third one wrote, “And good thing Taylor never gives up, never backs down. Because she took that situation, spinned it on its head, and now Scooter is client-less and ugly. Like karma really gonna track you down!”
